MasterCard and Visa are the most widely accepted credit cards in Thailand. In most tourist areas, American Express is accepted too. However, it's always a good idea to have cash on you as many booths, markets and sometimes even border crossings only accept cash.
The standard voltage in Thailand is 230V. There are four plug types in Thailand: Types A, B, C and O.
It's recommended to have gotten the following vaccinations before visiting Thailand: Measles-mumps-rubella, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, chickenpox, polio, and your yearly flu shot. Additional vaccinations you should consider getting before visiting Thailand are: Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Hepatitis B, Japanese Encephalitis, Malaria, Rabies and Yellow Fever. We recommend double checking with the CDC or your doctor for more information about vaccinations you need before your trip.
