Good to know
Bien Hoa is the place to come if you just need a filler between you Vietnamese adventures between cities. There’s an easy linkage to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) by highway. It’s relaxing and rural; you won’t need to do much to see a lot. Stunningly enough, you enter the city on a bridge that rests above orange waters. Vietnam is known as the “Land of Jade” and this is very much evident at the Buu Long Pagoda, with it’s golden roofs and jade-colored ponds. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as you explore, and be sure to stop for the classic Vietnamese coffee: black coffee with condensed milk.
