The driver was very nice, the car was ok, the only inconvenience was that we had to change buses in Playa del Carmen (it wasn't direct route from Chiquila to Tulum, which we didn't know). In the second bus, we also had to take the luggage out ourselves which was a bit hard as they were stacked with other suitcases on the seats.

We had two experiences with Bookaway. The first one was excellent: pickup from Cancun Airport to Chiquilá port was right on time, the vehicle was comfortable, and the service was smooth and professional.

The second experience, from Tulum to Cancun Airport, was more challenging. We couldn’t locate the shuttle in Tulum center because the pickup instructions were unclear. While this seemed to be the shuttle company’s issue, we had no direct way to contact the driver. Bookaway did respond via WhatsApp, but the replies were quite generic and simply repeated the same information instead of helping us connect with the driver.

With our flight approaching and after waiting about 30 minutes, we ended up taking an expensive private taxi to the airport. Bookaway did issue a refund afterward. Overall, Bookaway is a reliable company, but I recommend allowing extra time and having a backup plan just in case.

Me dijeron que me pasaban a buscar por el Puerto de Chiquila a las 11. 30 hs ,yo desde lasv10. 30 hs ya estaba . No fueron capaces de avisarme que habían cambiado el lugar de encuentro . Hasta que una persona que se ocupaba del manejo del tráfico, dijo que las combies compartidas salían de un lugar. LLegue me pusieron la valija y el carry on en el techo de la camioneta ,que ni es la de la foto . Con todos mis productos al rayo del sol . Desp frenaron a la hora y media y me cambiaron de combi porque la que me llevaba a Tulum a mi y 4 franceses era otra camioneta . . . . . Una Verg:u00fc:enza.
