Bon à savoir
The Batangas are a province in the northern Filipino islands, and are filled with many natural wonders. The locals, who call themselves “Batanguenos”, have historically been very proud of the local culture. Even during colonial times, when displaying the Filipino flag was illegal, Batanguenos went against rule and set up protests in honor of their region and nation. Batanguenos have much to be proud of; the province is home one out of the world’s sixteen Decade Volcanoes. This volcanoe is called the Taal, and is currently dormant and explorable. You can climb, or horseback ride, to the view point. The main crater is filled with brilliant green water.

Fine once they finally accepted our valid tickets
We booked and paid for our tickets online prior to arriving at the bus port, then as advised in the confirmation email we arrived at the bus stop more than 30 minutes before the bus was due to leave in order to exchange our e-ticket for a voucher (CLEARLY stated in the email) however the staff there would not accept our e-ticket and insisted we needed to go and print off the email - the exact same page we were showing them yet they wanted it in paper form for some reason. We tried to point out the email advised this was our e-ticket so should be valid but to no avail. They recommended we visit the printing shop up the road, which we did but the service took a little while. I went back to the bus port while my friend waited to be served; the staff at the bus port then took me to the ticket counter and suggested I email them the email so they could print it off. After 1.5 hours of this process we finally printed our tickets and we’re able to get onto the bus (the bus was the later one than we’d booked but at least we were on). It then didn’t leave for another half an hour, so we ended up spending two hours at the bus port. The bus ride itself was fine.
