Everything went well, and in Sapa there was even a free shuttle to the hotel.

If you want to take a bus trip from Hanoi to Vientiane - that's the bus. Nice, clean cabins. The journey took 22 hours (1 hour less)

Why one of my favorites? Having a capsule in a bus and being able to lay fully down in my case even stretched with ,1. 75 . And just looking out of the window. I had very good sleep the first part till the border was quite bumpy thx to Laos;) we arrived around 1 am and then shut the bus and slept till 6. 10 when the bus started again and slowly kicked us out to walk through the border. At around 9 we were all done with the border and we heading on the perfect viatnamnese roads which very so nice that I casually felt asleep every now and then. Sometimes the driver was a bit aggressiv in driving but the rest was so lovely we arrived at 2 pm in Hanoi so it was just driving 5. 30 pm-1 am with a half an hour break around 9 pm And then 9 am - 2pm. The ice is at the first sight a quite a bit but at the end worth every cent. The staff could learn one or two basic phrases in basic English and try to be a bit less aggressive when speaking but nothing you can't smile away and laugh. In total in that bus were around 8 of 25 Europeans. All in all really my best bus journey:)

Went all really well. Even arrived 2hours earlier. There’s was water and a toilet in the bus. The only downside was that one of the drivers puted music in the bus but besides that for a 23h trip it was fine.

Pros: We arrived into Hanoi 3 hours earlier. The beds were decently roomy, there was enough space to lie down and have a bag with you, although could be a bit tight if you are tall. The AC worked well and you could individually control it. There was a USB and USB-C charging point in each pod. There was a blanket. There was a toilet on board (although you should bring your own tissue and hand san just in case). Cons: Driving could be better/more considerate of the people sleeping - there was a lot of sharp braking and turning, beeping etc. Limited English speaking staff so they would just turn up the music really loud when they wanted us to get off the bus. Bed mattress and pillow weren't that comfortable. TV only played what the driver was watching so not really sure what the point of it was (but you could turn it off). Top bunk was very rocky at points, not sure if this was down to road conditions and driving but might be more comfortable in the bottom bunk. Overall not as awful as people would suggest despite the long journey - but not the most comfortable either.
