We took the speedboat ferry by Opitours for a round-trip transfer to our hotel on the island. It was well organized, on time both ways, and good service by the crews.

The bus was clean and with AC. It took an hour to the Playa Blanca at Barú as expected. At a stop were restrooms and drinks and food could be purchased. What was not cool, was the communication. In the reservation it said 8 am as departure and meeting half an hour early, then a mail arrived with meeting at 8 am. The meeting point was not clearly communicated. First Torre de Reloj was said, but after asking via WhatsApp we were sent to the Centro de Convenciones. The bus arrived there at 8:20, so we finally reached the beach at 9:30. The return time was as planed at 3 pm. And we could get out at Torre de Reloj.

We booked a shuttle service with Optitours to Isla Grande and back. The shuttle should have left at 9 in the morning, but we were there at 8. 30 as requested. We ended up having to wait almost an hour and didn't set off until 9. 30am. The return trip was booked for 3pm, but we were told on the boat that we would be picked up at 2. 30pm at the point where we were dropped off on the island. At 2. 10 pm the boat arrived at a different place and the boatman picked us up from the beach and told us that the boat was leaving now. Almost an hour before the time we had actually booked! The crew were visibly annoyed and stressed, the captain accelerated so much inside the bay that it didn't feel safe. We then picked up passengers in two other places. The captain stressed them out so much that they should get on board quickly, he set off while a woman was still standing on the stern of the boat and almost fell into the water!
