First, the ride from Krabi to Hat Yai was without any complaints, extremely friendly and helpful driver, everything on time. (2 hours stopover in Hat Yai)
The Minivan from Hat Yai to Penang was unfortunately not such a pleasant ride, my seat was the very last tiny spare seat in the back of the van next to the luggage. I was literally gluing together with my neighbour on that double seat (12 seats in total I think). And the air couldn’t circulate so well in that back corner either which I can usually not handle on long rides and it makes me feel sick. Luckily I got travel sickness pills before, so I was okay.
The given time should be corrected though, because even without traffic the calculated time from Hat Yai to Penang was simply not doable. Timetable said arrival at 8pm in Penang, while it was 12pm in the end (there was a traffic jam, but it didn’t cost us more than max 2 hours).
The driver though was extremely kind as well and even drove me to my hostel and made sure I arrived safely! :)
Both the platform we used to book the shared minivan (BookWay) and the service provider (KST Travel) were very responsive and offered full support throughout our journey. I was initially doubtful, but both Bookway and KST addressed all our concerns with their attentive assistance. Really recommended and will definitely use their service again in the future. It's really a 5 star customer service experience.
This was a good and efficient service. I was very happy. A long day of travel, after my first ferry and bus, there was a wait from about 1pm-6. 30 or so before the night bus. But it was good to get food. The bus was comfortable and everything ran smoothly. The night before the journey I got a detailed email with a step by step guide. Definitely would recommend.
even the car is not new and the driver can't speak English well but our communication with the lady from KST was very good, I enjoy the trip to Hua Hin
