Great trip
I got the 0600 shuttle from The Westin Camino Real in Guatamala city to Panajachel, Lake Atitlan. The shuttle leaves from inside the Forecourt of the the Westin, opposite a great hostel called Central Hostel Reforma if you need a bed for the night! The shuttle is great, nice driver and comfortable. It runs direct to Antigua, for us about an hour, where you stop for an hour and change shuttles. There is a little office you can leave bags whilst you go and explore Antigua. The men who run the shuttle service and friendly and accommodating. Then it's onwards, directly to Panajachel which took about 3 hours.
I was embarrassed because the pickup time was 30 minutes late.
