Star Qistna Express

  • From Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. Comfort 4/5, punctuality 3/5. No terminal fee. Departure at 9:00 AM. We arrived at the border at 10:00 AM. Check-out in Singapore was hassle-free: we left our luggage on the bus, went to the automatic passport scanners, and boarded the same bus at 10:15 AM (it's worth memorizing). The driver counted the passengers. On the Malaysian side, the driver gave us the number of the bus we were transferring to. We collected our luggage, went to the automatic passport scanners, then had our bags X-rayed, and boarded a new bus at 10:30 AM (you have to find it in the parking lot). We set off for Kuala Lumpur at 11:00 AM, and I had the impression the driver was waiting for the last passenger who didn't show up. The bus was comfortable, with plenty of legroom and lockable hatches for carry-on luggage. The seats had a massage function. There was a 15-minute break at 1:00 PM for food and restroom. The driver spoke basic English and chatted, sang, and whistled while driving, loud enough to wake you up. The parking lot at Berjaya Times Square was full, so we got out on the street. We arrived at 3:30 PM, about an hour and a half late.

  • Service is good just need improvement on terms of communication. We, as passengers were not informed that there will be transfer of bus for the 2nd half of the trip going to Malaysia. Hopefully we were informed to avoid being lost. Great thing we ask the drivers of Qistnar. That's how we knew we need to transfer bus from one to another. But everything went well with how convenient the ride was.

  • The trip was smooth from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.
