Took 3 hours not 1 and a half 
Most of the windows on the train have been smashed 
Was given a free cake which I then had to pay for 
Chicken was like rubber... totally overcooked 

Air con was amazing 
Seat was super comfortable 
Chargers all worked
Toilet attendant was incredibly friendly and helpful and the toilets were spotless

Excelente meio de ir de Alexandria para o Cairo. Tem novo, bons assentos, tomadas, luz, entretenimento. O banheiro é limpo e moderno. O bar tem poucas opções, mas pode ser uma alternativa. Staff ótimo!

you gave a wrong travel time from Cairo to Alexandria.. it is 2.30 hours but your booking states it is 1.30 hours. we started at 8.00 AM Cairo Railway Station and reached Alexandra at 10.30AM. Better not to give false information.

The customer support is really amazing. They understand, they respond and go out of their way to help. I have never received such excellent service. I am not an Arabic speaker and new to Egypt and was wondering how I'll locate the right platform etc and just went I go the train station entrance, a man was standing with my tickets, he asked me if I had booked via Bookaway and verified my name, took my luggage and left after seating me in the train. I was amazed by the thoughtfulness and am certain to always book my tickets through here. 
And about the train, absolutely stellar. Amongst the best I have seen anywhere in the world. Super clean, great staff, excellent seats.

Strange that I have to get hard copy of the e-tickets to do the journey but that is what I was told! Strange also that an Egyptian couple had tickets for the same seats on the same carriage on the same train as us!

We travelled from Cairo to Alexandria and back with tickets booked through Bookaway. The site is easy to use and fills a gap in the market as rail tickets in many countries have been hard to book in the past. My only adverse comment id that the correct fare paid was not shown on the tickets which caused embarrassment when questioned by the train's Conductor on our outward journey and I would ensure that all fares are correct and in the local currency.
