Lima is the capital city of Peru, and without a doubt, one of the most buzzing cities in Latin America. Combining pre-Colombian relics with modern architecture, exciting nightlife, and a 5 star dining scene, this place has all the ingredients for a memorable vacation. 

The question is, how do you get from Paracas to Lima? Well, Lima is located 160 miles (257 km) north of Paracas, which makes it within reach on a daily trip. Unless you’ve driven to Paracas by car, there’s really only one option to choose, and that’s taking one of the direct bus lines

There are three bus operators running the Paracas to Lima route, each offering different amenities and levels of comfort. More importantly, with 14 departures between them, they make choosing a bus a really convenient way to travel between two cities. And on top of that, the prices range between just $16 and $28, making them easy on the wallet, too.

 

What to see when traveling from Paracas to Lima

How to get from Paracas to Lima

Taking a bus
Without a doubt, the buses operating from Paracas to Lima are a quick and convenient option to get from one city to another. There are 3 operators to choose from: Peru Bus, Cruz del Sur, and Oltursa. Between them, they offer 14 departure time options, which makes planning your trip a real joy. 

Each offers a different set of amenities spread across the Economy, 130 Reclining Seats, 160 Reclining Seats, and Tourist options. A ride on the $17 entry-level Economy bus from Peru Bus offers A/C, toilets, reclining seats, a TV, as well as snacks.

The mid-range Tourist and 160 Reclining Seats Oltursa buses offer A/C, toilets, reclining seats, and snacks, plus WiFi, and have English speaking staff, which is very convenient. Tickets for the Oltursa buses are $21 for the Tourist option and $27, for the 160 Reclining Seats one.

And then there’s the top of the range Cruz del Sur with its 130 and 160 Reclining Seats options. These buses boast all the amenities the other two operators offer, plus blankets to keep you warm and chargers for your phone. The prices for the two Cruz del Sur buses are $23 and $28, respectively.
