A minibus will pick you up from your hotel in Koh Lanta and get onto a car ferry at Saladan Pier (Koh Lanta). If you want, you can stay in your vehicle as it boards the ferry. Within a few hours, you’ll arrive at Nopparat Thara Pier (Ao Nang).

Ticket prices, if you choose to travel by shared minivan, are around $17 per person. With departures throughout the day, it’s a convenient option for travelers. 

If you are traveling with extended family or as part of a group, you can hire a private minibus or minivan. Private minivans are ideal for groups of six to eight people. With most operators offering hotel pick and drop off, taking a Koh Lanta to Ao Nang bus + ferry is a convenient way to travel this route.

If you rent a private minivan, you have more flexibility in departure time as you can pick a time that works best for your group. The cost of hiring a private minivan is around $100.

Taking a taxi from Koh Lanta to Ao Nang

Hiring a taxi is another option that is available to those traveling this route. Expectedly, it is the most expensive option, but with hotel pick up and drop, more legroom, and flexible departure times, it’s the most convenient option.
