The bus arrived at the pick-up point one and a half hours late - not unusual for traffic in Guatemala. The driver then drove the route to Flores particularly fast to make up time, with some very daring overtaking manoeuvres. The travel time is given as five hours (we did the route in four hours), but it would have been better if you had arrived in Flores completely relaxed and without fearing for your life. The ride is inexpensive and the bus was in good condition.

Cheap but at which costs?

Don’t trust the estimated trip duration. The trip from Flores to Rio Dulce was listed to take from 6 am to 9 am. When checking Google Maps, ride time without traffic was already 3,5 hours. I understand Guatemalan traffic can be unpredictable, but it turned out to be a 4,5 hour ride - without any actual traffic jams, but including a 10 min break. Why would you list this as a 3 hour ride at all?!

Super smooth ride!

The company texted a day before to confirm my route.
The shuttle was there 30 min ahead of departure.
Check-in was seamless. 
The bus is not really comfortable (I have long legs. . . ) as there is not enough room/space but I could sleep without any problem laying my legs in the corridor.
Driver was nice. 
We had 1 stop/pause for coffee, pee, snack, bit of air.
I recommend! Don't think twice.
