Getaway Travels -Tickets and online bookings

Very good value, driver drove very safely. Not the friendliest bus operators and the pick up service was very strange (I turned up to the office but it was closed then just got a WhatsApp to say they were ready but it was all very sporadic) - but great value, easy to book, and got me there safely

Getting around the Guatemala countryside can be challenging, and the trips, albeit short in total distance, can be long and tiring (e. g. , up and down mountains, chaotic traffic, numerous and seemingly unmarked speed bumps that slow progress). Be prepared for a long travel day. The Getaway service is very good ( e. g. , courteous and friendly drivers), and on long trips, many stops are offered. My only complaints are (1) uncomfortable seats for longer trips and (2) limited leg room for some seats (. . . . I am 1. 85 m tall (6'1")). For a taller person, I suggest sitting up front with the driver or securing an aisle seat to stretch out as much as you can. Otherwise, Getaway will get you where you want to go with support and professionalism, and in a shared shuttle, you can share stories with other travelers. I would book again.

Schöner Bus und bequeme Sitze

I was a little skeptical about booking a shuttle from Xela to Lanquín, but everything went smoothly in the end. My only complaint was the Bookaway service fee — it was a bit of a rude surprise just before I was about to complete the purchase.
