About the ride from Bohol to Camiguin

The distance from Bohol to Camiguin is 130 km (81 miles), and if you’re fortunate enough to travel between them both, you should feel pretty spoiled. You’re pretty much hopping from one blissful island to another.

Bohol is a paradise for nature lovers! From incredible diving spots and lovely landscapes to exciting dolphin and tarsiers spotting opportunities, Bohol makes for a fabulous vacation spot.

With picture-perfect beaches to laze upon, hot springs to soak in, and stunning waterfalls to hike to, Camiguin is the perfect tropical holiday destination.

Lucky for you, Camiguin Island makes for a great weekend getaway. Ferry is the only mode of transport from Bohol to Camiguin, and ticket prices start from US$11 per passenger.

Due to its volcanic origins, Camiguin is known as the Island Born of Fire. And as a result, there is incredible natural beauty and biodiversity everywhere you turn.

Not to mention the seven volcanoes to explore. If you’re up for a challenge, trek up Mt.Vulcan and Mt.Hibok-Hibok. After the hike, soak your tired muscles in the wonderfully relaxing Ardent Hibok Hibok Hot Springs.

Not into hiking? No problem.

Taking a boat to White Island should be on top of your must-do things on Camiguin. This idyllic sandbar is nothing but sand—no shops, no trees, and no structures. It’s just a tiny strip of sand that keeps changing shape depending on the tide.

Mantigue Island Nature Park is another attraction worth visiting. It promises underwater and overland adventures.

Water fun continues for aqua lovers at the Sto. Nino Cold Springs, a spring with refreshing 20°C water, and Soda Water Park, another spring that has natural, fizzy soda water.

The Sunken Cemetery is one of the most iconic spots in all of Camiguin. The chance to swim over moss-covered tombs and skeletons makes for a one-of-a-kind snorkeling adventure. If you want a more traditional diving experience, head to Burias Shoals for its colorful coral and sea life.

Tucked away in the depths of the island’s lush green foliage are some stunning waterfalls. So slide into those hiking shoes and set off on an expedition to discover them. Tuasan Falls and Katibawasan Falls are incredibly scenic and worth the hike!

If you are traveling in October, you’re in for a surprise. The island pulls out all the stops to celebrate the lanzone—a tropical fruit that is the island’s pride. Pageants, traditional music, dance, and handicrafts add to the gaiety of the island during this month.
