  • The journey was clean, trouble free with access to the on board cafe. There are several security checks before boarding and one must allow time for these. The confirmation email with the ticket voucher attached said the train is at 2pm although the voucher was for the 8am train which caused mild confusion.

  • I recommend Bookaway for people who live abroad and don't have the option of paying with M-Pesa. It's simple and efficient: all you have to do is go to the train station and print your tickets.

  • The ride was an excellent experience.

  • Excellent journey

  • The journey is great, it's lovely passing through so many national parks and seeing the animals. The seats in first class are very comfortable although I would considering upgrading for the full route (Mombasa to Nairobi) in future as it was a very early start. Service on the train was great.

  • Great train service between the two major cities of Kenya. Very secure with the crew and police on board
