We took the 12 hours bus from Antigua to Flores and it was much more pleasant than expected. Until Rio Dulce we were only 7 people in the bus so we could all take 2 seats and sleep some more. At Rio Dulce you change to a another bus. That one was quite full, but it was only another 4.5 hours to Flores. We arrived 30 minutes earlier. The driver stopped every 2-3 hours to take a 10-15 min break where you can use clean bathrooms and buy snacks and coffee. In Rio Dulce we stopped for 30 minutes, there's an ok restaurant there where you can get lunch. This is also where the drivers change so it's not one person driving 12 hours, which is great for everyone involved. On the first bus there was AC and it got almost too cold and on the second there was no AC and it got rather warm. So have a set of layers ready to put on/ take off as necessary.

If you have traveled in Guatemala you are aware things are different here. The bus was a bumpy ride and the first bus had a gas smell. The ride was hours longer because of traffic, no fault of Adrenalina. When traveling in Guatemala expect fast, tail gating drivers. If you do not speak spanish have a translator on your phone. Enjoy the adventure!

Very well organised, very punctual, we even arrived a bit early I think.
Only 4 stars because the bus was incredibly cold, even colder than other buses I think. Pants and a thick jumper wasn’t enough, I could have used a blanket too.
The seats are very comfortable though.
