Taking a ferry from Sorrento to Ischia
During peak season
During the peak tourist season that runs from May to October, you can take a direct Sorrento to Ischia ferry.
A one-hour travel time makes this the most popular option.
Alilauro is the only operator offering a ferry service on this route. There are typically 1-2 departures per day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The ferry leaves from the Port of Sorrento and arrives at the Ferry Terminal Ischia.
With capacity for a few hundred passengers, these vessels offer indoor and outdoor seating. While it's great to opt for an outdoor seat, you can also sit in the air-conditioned, indoor space. The ferries have washrooms too.
Ferry prices from Sorrento to Ischia start from US$28 per person.
You are allowed to take one piece of luggage weighing up to 9 kgs with every ticket. You will need to pay US$3 for every extra piece you check-in. Bicycles are allowed on board for an additional US$7 fee.
