The best time to visit Phuket is between November and April when the weather is perfect for beach activities. Monsoon season lasts from May to October, and at this time of the year, prices are much lower, but lots of accommodation, restaurants, and other amenities may be closed.

 

What to see when traveling from Krabi to Phuke

If you’re traveling on a bus, car, or a minivan, you’ll be riding through several national parks, including Than Bok Khorani and Ao Phang-nga. Your short ride will be filled with beautiful, lush green scenery and you’ll arrive in Phuket in no time.

If you’re traveling on a ferry, you’ll be able to enjoy views of the blue Andaman Sea, and the Phi Phi islands where you’ll make a stop for a layover.

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, and you’ll have plenty of things to do during your stay here. The most popular thing to do here is to hit the beaches and relax. Some of the most popular beaches to check out are Kata Noi, Nai Harn, Surin Beach, and many more.

One of the most famous landmarks in Phuket is the Phuket Big Buddha, located at the top of Nakkerd Hills. The statue is 45 meters high, and from the bottom of the statue, you’ll have a wonderful panoramic view of the island. Another amazing viewpoint is located right next to the Kata Noi beach. This viewpoint, known as Karon, has a wonderful view of the Andaman Sea, but it’s usually packed with tourists.

There are many more things to see and do in Phuket, and if you want to explore the island fully, you’ll have to stay here for at least two weeks or more.

 

How to get from Krabi to Phuket

Taking a bus

Hopping on a bus between Krabi and Phuket is a quick and convenient way to travel between these two spots. The buses don’t have toilets on board, and the journey is shorter than 3 hours, so there won’t be any stops during your journey. Buses have comfortable seats and A/C.

 

Taking a minivan

Taking a minivan from Krabi to Phuket is one of the most popular ways to travel between these two spots. You can choose between shared and private minivans. Private rides are a bit faster because shared minivans pick up all passengers at different locations. You can choose your departure and drop off points, including airports in both Krabi and Phuket, and any hotel at Krabi town, Phuket town, and Klong Muang beach. All minivans have A/C.

 

Taking a ferry

Traveling between Krabi and Phuket on a ferry might not be the fastest option available, but this ride is very scenic. The ferry takes around 5 hours and 30 minutes to arrive in Phuket, and you’ll have a layover on Koh Phi Phi. You’ll have to get off the ferry, pick up your luggage, and find the Chao Koh company representative (they’ll be holding a red umbrella with the company logo), before boarding the onward ferry. Ferries are equipped with A/C and toilets on board.

 

Renting a car

If you’re traveling in a small group of family or friends (up to three passengers), and you need more privacy during your trip, you can consider booking a private car that will take you from Krabi to Phuket in just 3 hours. All cars are comfortable and equipped with A/C.
