“Worth it for the experience “ but don’t expect to sleep… on reflection probably better to train during the day, enjoy the view and the journey then arrive in the evening and get a good nights sleep… it took a couple of days to recover from the lost nights sleep…
My daughter and I enjoyed the train ride from Hanoi to Danang. The train was clean and the beds were comfortable. The food car wasn’t much so plan to bring snacks. They offered breakfast and some snacks on board. Lots of families traveling together. It was not luxurious but it was comfortable and clean. Scenery spectacular
Everything worked fairly well, cabin okay (saw one little bug). With ear protection I was able to sleep a few hours. We arrived approx 2h late
Fresh, stylish, comfortable cabin. Water, beer, fruit, breakfast for free in the cabin. AC. A bit noisy through the night from the rails but was expected!
Loved the train. The only part of the trip that was a bit stressful was when we arrived at the station and showed our printed out booking confirmation and was told by the staff that it was not valid. We were then sent to another person who called the number that Bookaway provided and after that the ticket was confirmed. Please note that very few people in that area speak English and getting information can be a bit challenging. The train departed on time and the compartment was very clean and comfy. We even found complimentary snacks under our pillows! Would definitely recommend the train.
