Good to know
Lampang holds one of the most glorious sites of Thailand, truly a must-see when on a temple-hunting adventure. While most Buddhist temples may have much in common in regards to looks, Wat Chaloem resembles something straight out of a fairy tale; white and gold-leafed domes sit perfectly positioned on top of towering, grassy karsts. It takes a lot of energy to climb up the steep and long-lasting stairs, but once you reach the top you'll understand how worth sweating up the climb was. It's suggested to wear comfortable shoes with a good grip and to bring a rain poncho along, as often explorers encounter downpours on the way to the Wat Chaloem view point.
