Transportation from Da Lat to Mui Ne
There are three ways to get from Da Lat to Mui Ne: bus, car, and minivan.
The bus is the most affordable way to travel and offers many daily departures.
Taking a private car or minivan is ideal if you are traveling with others and want to make stops along the way.

Take a bus
Sleeping bus prices start at $8 and take approximately 4-5.5 hours to connect Da Lat to Mui Ne. They are called sleeping buses because each seat is in a nearly flat, bed-like position, making it extra comfy.
All buses include air conditioning and reclining seats. One 20 kg (44 lbs) bag is allowed per passenger. Some include blankets, water, TVs and WiFi — look for those symbols when booking.
There are several different operators, with departures starting early in the morning and ongoing until late at night. Each operator has its own pick-up and drop-off points, so be sure to look at those details when booking.

Take a private car
The benefit of private cars is traveling in style and privacy with your small group. Most cars can take between three and six passengers, depending on your chosen vehicle.
You also get to select your departure time and stop as many times as you want (within reason).
You choose your pick-up and drop-off points. So it’s a complete door-to-door service. If you get picked up at the Da Lat Airport (DLI), your driver will hold a sign with your name on it, in total VIP style.
Travel times average between three and four hours. This can be affected by traffic and the amount of stops you make. Water is provided. You can bring 15-20 kg (33-44 lbs) bag per passenger.

Take a private minivan
An air-conditioned minivan is an excellent option if you’re with a large group of up to 12 people.
Minivans take approximately three to four hours. However, traffic and stops can affect the overall travel time.
Pick-ups are at any Da Lat hotel (or the airport) and drop off at any Mui Ne hotel, so, like cars, it’s door-to-door service. The luggage allowance is generally 15-20 kg (33-44lbs) bag per passenger.

What is the ride from Da Lat to Mui Ne like?
The most enjoyable part about the ride from Da Lat to Mui Ne is the change of scenery.
Near Da Lat, it’s misty mountains as you descend along the winding roads with steep elevation drops. However, as you get closer to Mui Ne, you leave the peaks and valleys and come across flatter land until all you see is the glistening ocean and majestic beaches.

When is the best time to visit Mui Ne?
If you’re packing for Mui Ne, there is no need to bring any winter clothes. Just pack some bathing suits, sunglasses, shorts, and T-shirts. The nights don’t get below 70°F (21°C), and average highs all year range between 85°F and 90°F (29°C and 32°C).
Since you’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors, go when it’s less humid and slightly cooler — November through April. This is also the best time for surfing.
Summer is monsoon season and has more humidity. The worst storms occur between August and early October.
