This short ride covers the 11.3-mile (18-kilometer) distance in approximately 35 minutes. As the islands across the Adriatic Sea are well-connected by various ferry operators, it's an easy journey to undertake.Â
This route only offers a passenger ferry, so you can't take your car along for the ride.
Hvar has four ferry ports: Stari Grad, Hvar, Jelsa, and Sucuraj. Check your ticket carefully to ensure you arrive at the right one. Aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early to avoid disrupting your journey.

On the air-conditioned boat, you can expect a WC. Passengers get a luggage allowance of one 45 lb (20 kg) bag and one piece of hand luggage.Â
Some companies allow pets and bicycles for a fee.
To bring a pet on board the ferry, owners must muzzle dogs, except guide dogs, and keep them on a leash at all times. Cats and birds must be transported in cages.
All dogs and cats must travel with proper vaccination documents. The price for transporting a small pet in a cage is 50% of the price of a passenger ticket. Larger ones outside a cage cost the same as a passenger ticket.
Bicycles can be transported on all ferries but at the passenger's risk. The ticket price for a bike is the same as for a passenger.
