Bangkok is an amazing place to visit, and no matter how long you stay here, you’ll fall in love with the city over and over again. The capital of Thailand has many different sides you can get to know during your stay here.

The first of them is the cultural and historical one. Start off getting to know Bangkok by visiting its temples, museums, palaces, and shrines. Some of the city’s most popular attractions include the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, Erawan Shrine, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Bangkok National Museum, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Jim Thompson House Museum, and more.

Use your days to explore these sights, and once the sun goes down it’s time to see another face of Bangkok. This city is known for its great nightlife. There are numerous cocktails bars, rooftop clubs, and other spots where you can experience what the nights are all about here. Finish your night with some yummy street food and you’ll have the ultimate Bangkok experience.

Besides the temples and the nightlife, you can also experience the city from the Chao Phraya River and its numerous canals. Hop on a ferry or a boat ride, and you’ll get a unique perspective of the city.

If you’re looking to purchase some souvenirs and tasty spices, head straight to the Chatuchak Market, which is one of the largest markets in the world. Get your bargaining hat on, and start exploring the stalls.

How to get from Siem Reap to Bangkok

Taking a flight

Flying from Siem Reap to Bangkok is a quick and convenient way to travel between the two cities. What is the best time of year to visit Bangkok?

The weather in Bangkok changes throughout the season, but there are almost no weather-dependent activities, and it all comes down to your personal preferences. Between November and March, the weather is a bit cooler, dry, and very pleasant. However, good weather conditions also attract crowds of visitors.  It might be hard to find accommodation if you don’t book in advance, and the prices for almost everything will be higher compared to other times of the year.

The monsoon season is in July and August, with lots of short and intense rainfall, and this is the least popular time for visiting Bangkok. However, there are some benefits to visiting the city at this time of year. The airfare, accommodation, and other expenses are definitely at their cheapest during monsoon season.

The other two periods of the year that are good for visiting but less crowded are between April and June, and September and October. April, May, and June are the hottest months of the year, while September and October are cooler, but with more rainfall.
