The bus+ferry combo is a popular, and easy way to travel from Koh Phangan to Suratthani. The ferry leaves from Thong Sala Pier in Koh Phangan, and there are a variety of bus drop-off points available for once you arrive in Suratthani, including the airport and train station.
If you will be immediately traveling onwards from Suratthani this is a great option for you, and will make your journey smooth and simple.

If you want to spend some time in Suratthani or want to make your own way to the next leg of your travels, you can book a standalone ticket on a high speed ferry.
The ferry is comfortable, air conditioned and reliable, taking you from your island paradise of Koh Phangan to the mainland. Suratthani is often overlooked by travelers, seeing it as ust a pitstop on the way to and from the nearby islands, but if you have time it’s worth exploring the markets and nature surrounding Suratthani Town.
